Wow!! Today's the 53rd Independence celebration for Malaysia. Independence
huh? I personally prefer the word 'Merdeka'
than independence coz it sounds cooler hehe. Who would believe that it's been 53 years
since the very first 'Merdeka!' word was heard at National Stadium
(known as Stadium Merdeka to the locals). I wasn't even born yet. Mom said it was a very special day as all
Malaysians, regardless the colour and religion, gathered in unity for the most
awaited event in our history. As for
Mom, it's extra special because on that particular day, a dear brother was
born. Unfortunately, Allah only lends
him for a while. I never had a chance to know him but from the stories, I
believe he'd be a fantastic uncle. May Allah bless his soul. Al-Fatihah.
