My Projek Buku - It's All about Love
I've just finished reading this book. Impressive, my first thought when the final sentence in this book is fully absorbed not only by my mind, but my soul as well.
I remembered the day I decided to buy this book. I was with Lil Sis and I noticed that she gave me 'the look' when I told her I wanted to buy this book. Intentionally, I wanted to buy another book but this is the only book from the author that was available at the bookstore. Looking at the title 'Tentang Cinta' (All About Love) and the review from some of well-known local motivators about the book gave me 'goosebumps'. Well, I'm not an avid reader of love and romance genre. I prefer my reading materials to be something that could stimulate my mind and soul and I like them to be challenging. However, the author's work is not something I'm not familiar with. I've been reading his blog for almost a year now (Genta-Rasa.com), and I have to say his writing is simple but yet never fail to make me ponder.
'Tentang Cinta', as the title suggests, is about love. It's about the love between two people: a pair of lovers, husband and wife, parent and child, teacher and student, leader and follower. There's also another type of love that the author trying to stress to the readers, the most important love of all: the LOVE between the Mighty and His servant. The Ultimate Love. Even though the subject is quite heavy, it is digestible as the presentation is relaxed and straight-forward. Even though the target readers are teenagers (that's why there's a lot of illustrations in the book), it is suitable for adults as well.
Reading this book make me realized what I really want, who I really wanna be, what my vision and mission in life. I know it might sound silly, but I did shed few tears reading this book. I highly recommend it to everyone. Trust me, if you're ready, you're a new person after you read this book.
