Why are They Staring at Me??

I was in a shopping complex the other day when I saw this one lady walking across the mall. Wearing a tight aubergine wrapped dress with golden strappy heels and matching accessories, she was hard to miss by anyone. I have to say that she got a super nice body to wear that dress, and damn she's proud of it. If not, why else would she wear that dress right? Since she was such a firecracker, she couldn't escape from being wolf-whistled at. But she somehow, I noticed, was quite uneasy with the attention she's getting. Lucky for her that her friends were there, and lucky for me to overheard their conversation (hey, I wasn't eavesdropping, but since they were talking too loud I figured it's no harm to listen =p). The firecracker kept asking her friends why on earth were those guys eyeing her and she even called them perverts!!! I thought this was so funny that I couldn’t help myself from laughing. Well, Missy, wasn't that what you wish for when you put on that dress earlier?

I heard these complaints from many women. Why do guys staring at them? Why don't those perverts leave them alone? Well, I don't think guys are the only ones to blame. If they hate being staring at, then why wear such outfit at the first place? But Aida, I don't flash lotsa skin, they might replied. What about figure hugging outfit that make you look almost naked even with clothes on? Don't you think that make you outstanding from the rest of the crowd?

I don't have issues with sexy or figure hugging outfit, neither with those who wear them. For me it is their right to choose whatever they want to wear. It is not like they are using my money to buy those outfit, or they steal my limelight by wearing one. I adore those people who have guts to wear such outfit in public, especially if they're not so much in shape. I mean to let the world see your 'excess baggage' requires a very high self-esteem. Not everyone has it. However, it gets really annoyed when they keep complaining about the stares they got. I mean, if you don't want people to stare at you, then wear a decent clothes. You wear clothes that scream 'Look at me, Look at me!' but complaints when people look at you. Do you have inner conflict or something? Everything has its consequences. If you're bold enough to wear such outfit, then you have to bear with the outcomes. And please stop blaming the guys. They were created as visual creatures. It's their nature to appreciate the beauty of the opposite sex. Love them or hate them, there is nothing on Earth that we can do to stop them. I think not only guys, women stares at other women as well.

Next time if you wanna call some guys perverts just because they stare at your boobs or butt, go ahead but don't blame them for staring because you are the one who give them the sole reason to be stared at.
