Who's the One to Blame?

Have you ever been betrayed by people you trust?  In my case, the answer is yes, lots of times.  I'm not sure why, perhaps I'm too naive.  That's my weakness.  Once I trust a person, I'll become so close that I forgot people can be mean at times.  When it happened, I asked myself why these people were so inhumane to do such things but I know I would never know the real reasons behind such awful action.

Let's imagine this.  Two people, A and B, were talking about their secrets and they both promised each other not to tell anyone about it.  After a while, A found out that B had told other people about his secret, including to C.  A let out his frustration and shock to C. Now A doesn't trust B anymore.  But what A doesn't know is both B and C told D about his secret.  B was the one who started to tell D about A's secret in the presence of C but not only C was not trying to defend A, C also started spilling the beans to D as well.  B did tell D afterwards that it was his mistake to tell C about A's secret but he said he couldn't help it because C kept asking him about the updates on A's secret.

Poor A. Now, who can A trusts?

See, that's why I'm more careful with people now.  They maylook innocent and naive but only God knows how much you should not trust them with your secrets.   I guess that's why in Islam we are asked to watch out our tongues and our groins.  It is true that tongues are sharper than swords coz with swords you're either die or physically injured but the emotional wounds caused by tongues are more fatal.
