Part of Your World

The first time I heard this song was when I was five or six years old.  My family was visiting Dad's family in Terengganu and we stopped at a local supermarket on our way back.  I was at video section when I saw the picture of a beautiful mermaid (exactly like the above pic) and demanded (what a word to use!) Dad to buy me the movie.  The Little Mermaid. I kept playing the video over and over again.  I love Disney's cartoon movies, preferably the 2D version compare to 3D version (how can cartoon exist in 3D version?!  It's so not cartoon-y at all!!).  I guess the songs that got my heart captured =)

Lately, somehow, this particular song has invaded my mind all the time.  Whenever I go, whatever I do, I unconsciously humming to this song.  Oh, there are two versions of this song.  One is called Part of Your World, where Ariel was in her hiding cave with Flounder, when she has not yet meets Prince Eric.  The other version is Part of Your World (Reprise) where she was hiding behind a huge rock right after saving Prince Eric from terrible storm which is the one that keep haunting me.  I wonder why?  Is it because I miss my childhood days or because I miss my Prince Eric???  Haha yea right, like I even have a Prince Eric! Even if I do have, would rather have King Triton than Prince Eric haha!!
