2013, I Shall Welcome You with a Big Hug!!

Well, at last.  The year 2013 is approaching!!  Yeay!!  Isn't it wonderful to know that we survive the 'Apocalypse'?  How many of us actually believe that the world would end on Dec 21?  I don't know about other people, but being a Moslem, I know Dec 21 is definitely not the last day for the Earth but I would be the last day for some.  Yeah, I'm talking about the mystery of death.  Sometimes, I wonder what if we could see the future and know when our end of life moment will be?  Would it make the world a better place than it is now or worse?  Would people start to appreciate life more or would they become less care of their doings since they know there would time for them to repent?

So, 2013 is approaching.  This whole year will be a different year for me compared to the previous.  For a start, I just finished my psychology course and I will start working soon.  Woohoo!!  Alhamdulillah, finally I'm back into working world.  I hope it will be less stress for me and I pray that Allah will surround me with like-minded people who striving for the best life here and in the Hereafter.  I also aim to attend more seminars, be it on islamic teachings or self-improvement or cooking!!  Yeay, I should start to learn to cook.  I'm tired of eating processed food, they make me feel sluggish!  Wah, I have so many plans for 2013 and I hope my self-management skills will help me to achieve all plans or at least make progress.  Till then, welcome 2013 and may Allah bless all of you.  Amiin.

Oh No! Blizzard Strikes KL!!

Yeah, yeah, I know I PROMISED to blog as often as I possible but guess what?  I forgot.  Okay, I didn't keep my promise.  Ka-dusshhhh on the head!!  My bad, but thesis is one most-hectic, turn-your-life-upside-down commitment I've ever done in my whole life!!  And no, I don't exaggerate.  Really.  I don't feel like talking about it now because I'm officially free!!  Woohoo!! I just did my final paper yesterday and Alhamdullillah, it feels good.  So goodbye college life, welcome routine life =)

BTW, remember in my last post that I said I'd share my story on my super busy year?  Well it all started in January.  6th of January to be exact.  Sunday.  I didn't know that I would wake up that day to witness blizzard phenomenon in KL.  Seriously.  For those who are not sure what blizzard really is, blizzard is a snowstorm.  Actually it's greater, worse than snowstorm that why it has a different name.  Here's an extract I got from Wikipedia (yeah, I know it's one of the most unreliable sources but who cares!!)

"To be a blizzard, a snow storm must have sustained winds or frequent gusts that are greater than or equal to 56km/h with blowing or drifting snow which reduces visibility to 400 metres and must last for a prolonged period of time - typically 3 hours or more.  Snowfall amounts do not have to be significant.  A severe blizzard has winds over 72km/h, near zero visibility and temperatures of -12C or lower.  A ground blizzard has snowdrifts and blowing snow near the ground but no falling snow.  Blizzards can bring near-whiteout conditions and can paralyze regions for days at a time, particularly where snowfall is unusual or rare."

Snowstorm?  In KL?  How is that even possible??!!  Yeah, I know.  I asked myself over a million times but it's true.  Blizzard strikes KL.  Too bad I didn't have my cam ready at the time but if I did, maybe it would've look like this:

However, I did manage to immortalized the image of this blizzard phenomenon after almost 5 hours it started.  It didn't look like any of the above photos at all.  It looks like this:

Haha yeah, Blizzard is actually a kitten!  A charming little kitten that magically appeared in my house on the morning of 6th January.  It was love at the first sight and yes, he changed my life and my family's life completely.  From a no-pet household, we now have 13 cats in less than a year!!  Crazy huh?
